"I began my series of the Washington Skylines in 2004. I wanted to convey the complex interplay between the atmosphere, nature and our nations' buildings as beautiful if not peaceful. As a Washingtonian, I am in awe our Capitol's skyline from the Potomac River, the highways to the skyscrapers. The beauty never ceases from Sunrise to Sunset and becomes still in the middle of the night. This series is a process of bringing my understanding Washington D.C. out onto the canvas."
